About Us

Helping homeless families help themselves.

In 2003, a dedicated collective of congregational leaders and concerned citizens came together to establish JoCo IHN (formerly Johnson County Interfaith Hospitality Network). Their unwavering commitment to a shared mission continues to drive our organization today: Empowering homeless families and single women by engaging people of faith.

Currently, JoCo IHN collaborates with a network comprised of approximately 30 congregations. Together, we strive to assist families experiencing situational homelessness, as well as single unaccompanied female guests regain stability. JoCo IHN requires that all guests save 100% of their disposable income (after documented bills are paid), maintain or obtain stable employment, ultimately leading to obtaining stable and affordable housing.

We give situationally homeless families and single women a hand up…
JoCo IHN provides comprehensive services to empower homeless families and single women enabling them to regain stability. We work with approximately 30 interfaith groups and countless volunteers to provide food, shelter, education, and unwavering support. Historically, 70-75% of all guests who successfully graduate form JoCo IHN move into stable and affordable housing.

If you believe in our mission, please consider sharing your time, talents, and/or treasures with JoCo IHN and the families and single women we assist. With your help, we can continue to support local families and single women as they work to regain stability.

70-75% of our guests who successfully graduate our program obtain sustainable housing.
