Volunteer
Welcome to the JoCo IHN family. Welcome home.
When you volunteer with JoCo IHN, you’ll not only meet the people you’re helping; you will hear their stories, witness their determination, and see their pride as they learn to budget, save and lift themselves up.
You’ll discover firsthand that situational homelessness can happen to anyone. Great people. Smart people. These are the kind of people you want to help. Become their family. Help us make our guests feel at home while giving them a hand up and out of homelessness.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Hosting our guests, making meals and/or staying overnight
- Staffing our front desk
- Driving our guest van
- Handyman work
- Data entry
Requirements
We ask that all volunteers attend a two-hour training session. JoCo IHN holds these sessions every other month, usually on a weekday evening 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Our training begins promptly. You must arrive on time and stay the entire 2 hours to be considered a trained volunteer. Late arrivals will be asked to attend the next training.
Our next volunteer training will be held in September. Training will begin promptly at 6:30 pm and end by 8:30 pm.
